Green soap is a good fat emulsifier that contains enough reserve alkalinity to make it effective in the removal of sebaceous secretions of the skin. Green Soap Tincture is often used in the preliminary preparation of operative sites. Primarily used against bodily fluids, but is mildly germicidal as well.
